My second blog. Where I post prayers, scriptures and other thoughts.

Mathew 3:13-17

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. And when Hesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, andbehold, the heavens were opened to him: and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”

God didn’t want to try and save people, without showing he wouldn’t do it himself, so he sent Jesus. He did everything as a human would, including humbling himself by getting baptized.

It’s good to read that I serve a God who is fair.

2 Corinthians 2:10

-That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

1 Timothy 1:12-15

I thank Him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the work to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.

Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink.”

“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”

Romans 12:20 and 21

Though the Lord is on high,
Yet He regards the lowly;
But the proud He knows from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
